The SG Riverside Foundry celebrates cast iron manhole covers as a fresh and historic tableau,

reflecting the energy, passion and icons of the World’s greatest tourist destinations, accomplishments

and landmarks.  At times abstract or representational these urban mandalas become one with the

streets, melding with the cobblestones, concrete, asphalt, tar, gum, grime, grease and the energy that frames them.

The Foundry was originally inspired by the manhole covers embedded in the cobblestone streets of SoHo and the fact that New York City itself is the number one tourist attraction in the world, with over 80 million visitors annually.
